Couscous for Collette

Collette, this one's for you! Of course I am referring to Collette from Statements in Fashion, love her! This is a vegetarian meal I hope you'll like :) I made it for dinner tonight.

I have always liked couscous, but I used to eat it by itself. Now I add vegetables on top cooked in broth. I used beef broth, but you can use any broth you prefer such as vegetable or chicken. I just make the boxed couscous and pile the veggies on. It's filling, healthy and affordable!

I use fresh broccoli and carrots with canned peas and corn.
I love fresh vegetables, but I will also use whatever I have on hand.
Sometimes I'll add some Adobo (I'm Puerto Rican, I can't help it)
I cook until tender, but not too soft, I still like them to have some bite!
Sometimes I'll add a little corn starch to thicken the broth

I love the garlic and olive oil

Final product...Yummy

Cake Stand = Perfume Stand

I love giving a new purpose for things around the house. I was looking for something to place my perfume bottles on and I decided to use a cake stand. The clear glass goes nicely with the bottles. These are my four favorite scents:

Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Heavenly
Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel
Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture
Can Can by Paris Hilton

Travel Solutions on Board

A girl has to be prepared to be pretty at all times...even when she's traveling! And when it's time to travel it's good to have what you may need. Here are some great little travel helpers. First there is a Baggy Taggy that is a velcro handle and tag. Good for "spotting" your luggage on the wheel. (Especially with polka dots). Then I have two drawstring bags, one for lingerie and one for shoes...the two things that always get buried in a suitcase. There's also File & Fly clutch and an Uprgrade Me blanket that folds into itself and zips like those old windbreakers from the 80's! (I had one). All of these accessories were purchased at Marshall's.

I featured this clutch in my Marshall's haul, but I wanted to show you the inside. It has a mini file system to organize your tickets, boarding pass, cash, etc. Love!
