Photo Flashback: 80's Hair
I graduated from 8th grade in 1990, so technically this was the tail end of my 80's hair. Here I am with my best friends and we're all rocking the big hair. I wasn't a bangs girl, so I just had curly, one length hair. And hairspray wasn't my Poison (like the band), gel was and still is. If you'll notice, our caps are placed as far back as possible as to not interfere with the hair. We went to Catholic school and it was our mission to push every possible beauty and fashion boundary. I tweaked the uniform so much (slouchy socks, boots, no vest, yellow sweatshirt and the worst infraction..big earrings) One day my principal pointed to me and said to the class, "This is how you're NOT supposed to wear the uniform".
Sometimes you have to suffer for fashion, what can I say.

Today's Trend: All Out 80's
First, I must share a picture of one of my most wanted "toys" during my 80's childhood. (They should have warned me that it takes about 10 hours to make one actual snow cone though)

They say fashion repeats itself and boy were they right! As much as the '80's caused many fashion nightmares, you gotta admit, they were fun. Neon colors, lace, shoulder pads, not for the faint of heart. Although some '80's favorites (acid-washed) still scare me, there are a few throwback trends that can sneak back into this new decade and that already have over the last couple of years. Like skinny jeans.(I threw in Pac-Man because I love it) Here are my picks:
