NAKED Palette and Trench Vest

Today, I got a compliment on my eye make-up and was asked how I did the look I was rockin'! (seen below) I explained how I did it and the young woman said she still wasn't sure if she could do it. I kind of felt the urge to whip out some brushes and show her. She was already beautiful and like famous make-up artist Carmindy says, "Make-up is just the icing on the cake". But it sure is fun to apply the icing! My degree is in English/Journalism, but I have kicked around the idea of maybe becoming a freelance make-up artist.

Of course, I used my Urban Decay NAKED palette that I love so much. Naked, Half-Baked and Dark horse were my shades of choice.

NAKED 2 is out now, but I have yet to hit pan on any of my shadows, so I want to wait a while. I pretty much have a signature look. Either a bold lip or a bold eye. And the rest of the face, kind of natural like they do in France!

When Pinky and the Brain are not trying to take over the world, they are guarding my palette!

Also wanted to show you my new vest from Forever 21! I wanted something like this for a long time. It has a million styling options, but for now I just chucked it over jeans and a tee, added a leopard clutch. Done and done! I love that it can be worn open as well. I really love vests.

If your F21 doesn't have this vest, here's a similar option from Old Navy...

It's Pumpkin Pickin' Time

An imprompu trip to the pumpkin farm. My favorite part is the tractor ride out to the field! So fun!

The total look...

My husband likes this picture best. He likes the sunlight in the background shining down on me :)

OMG, I went to this haunted mansion one year with my mother and husband, what a funny story.
Let's just say we left very early. A dark house with actors dressed in scary costumes following us?
My mom and I couldn't cope!

Do you like to go to the pumpkin farm or haunted mansions? What's your favorite fall activity?

Cabin Fever

This is what I'd wear to my cabin in the woods (if I had one). The plaid shirt and jeans say masculine, but the heels and fur vest say feminine. Maybe not the best outfit for chopping fire wood, but my imaginary cabin has an electric fireplace anyway. Less work! Those are my non-prescription, anti-glare glasses I wear sometimes while using my computer. Not necessary, but they went with the look!
