Cute Gifts Under $50
Just... lemme see, 36 shopping days until Christmas? That's insane. I try to do most of my shopping in advance and then look online to tie up loose ends. As much as I love shopping, the stores around this time of year can be downright crazy. I wanted to browse and see how much stuff I could find for under $50. And let's be honest, shopping for girls is so much easier (and fun) than shopping for guys.
Here are some cute things I can never have enough of...a vibrant clutch bag, pajamas (can never have too many), LUSH stuff! And who doesn't love cozy slippers! Of course anything sequined also makes the cut. I love the make-up sets that come out around the holidays too, always a great value!
What are your favorite gifts to give (and receive)?

Fresh Face Masks at LUSH
I recently went to LUSH to get more of my favorite cleanser Angels on Bare Skin. It's hard for me to resist the salespeople there who are usually smoothing some product on me (not that I'm complaining!) This time I was introduced to the Fresh Face Masks. I love face masks, I usually use the Elizabeth Arden mask that I find at Marshall's for around 5 dollars. The main ingredient is kaolin and if you have problem skin here is a tip. Instead of using an acne cream, dab a bit of face mask that has kaolin on the blemish. Clears up in no time!
These Fresh Face Masks are natural and must be refrigerated upon purchase. I chose the Love Lettuce a mix of ground almonds, honey and lavender and the kaolin (no lettuce!). They're only around 7 dollars each which is pretty comparable to the price of drugstore masks and there is a lot of product.
Here's what it looks like. It goes on green which is where the lettuce reference must be!
I do look like Kermit for a few minutes, but afterwards my face feels awesome.
If you have sensitive to combination skin like I do, so far LUSH products are very gentle to my skin!! I always worry my face will turn bright red but it never does! I looked for these masks online, but since they are freshly made and refrigerated at the LUSH stores you can only buy them at a LUSH locations.

It's Summer and I'm Playing Favorites
A lot of beauty gurus do monthly favorite posts or videos, so I decided to post these summer favorites. These are things I am loving all summer long! Stuff for the mind, body and soul!
Did you know he took ballet? Also filled with funny stories and showed what a kind, gentle soul he was. Also, You're All That. I bought my mom a copy and we read it together. Fantastic book about God's design for our lives. It's also addresses leaving your past behind, getting on with life and overcoming roadblocks in life!
Inspiring Books

Slatin and Co. Mango Cilantro candle
I love the scent of this candle!
Smells like the yummiest fruit smoothie in the world. I would eat it, but I shouldn't eat candles.
Fake lashes
Any brand really. I am trying to perfect applying these, but I need more practice.
This summer I experienced LUSH. And now I am slightly hooked.
Kate Spade Hobo
A thrifted gem. I have been using it everyday since I bought it.
Kmart Jaclyn Smith Straw Hat
If you need an inexpensive summer hat that is still well made,
go to Kmart! They have the best hats for summer for around 10 dollars!

Angels on Bare Skin
It's been a little over a month since my last LUSH review, so now I can tell you what I love and have repurchased. So far, loving the Sexy Peel Lemon Soap and Honey I Washed the Kids Soap and already repurchased. Not a fan of their best selling Karma soap, and also didn't like Porridge soap.
"We're still together, still going strong"
I have already raved about this product here. But yesterday I went over to my mom's house and gave my mom, sis and little niece "facials" using my sample! ( I told you it was a big sample!) The employees are so generous at the LUSH I visit. So even after all the times I've used this, I still have a lot left. My mom loved it and my niece was so cute letting me rub this on her face (she's only 7). I will buy the full size of this product if and when my sample ever runs out. The one tricky part about this product is creating the right consistency when you add the water. And then when I rub it on my face, I try to make sure no product falls off.

LUSH Haul: The Sequel
I am a reformed product junkie! Especially facial cleansers. I have tried them ALL! High-end to drugstore brands. I am sold on LUSH's facial cleanser! But I will tell you more about that after the jump...
So, I went back to LUSH for a second helping! I love Honey I Washed the Kids Soap. So I had to get more. And also Sexy Peel. I also bought another Bath Bomb. This time Butterball.
LUSH employees are so incredibly nice and very laid back. They will give you samples of anything you want to try and these are good sized samples! The last time I got three samples without even asking for them. This time I asked for two specific products I heard about. I wanted to try Porridge soap as seen above. It's an oatmeal soap and has lots of texture. So she gave me a good sized chunk as seen above. It's ok, but not in total love with it and wouldn't buy it again.
Also wanted to try Angels on Bare Skin cleanser and she gave me that clear container with enough cleanser for at least 8-10 washes! At first I didn't think it would give my combination skin the matte texture I always look for. It did not produce lather and had the consistency of a facial mask when you rub it on.
It's hard to find a facial cleanser that will get rid of oil and not strip your skin! But after I dried my face, it was so soft, matte, and perfect. My skin is sensitive and this did not affect it one bit. I recommend this product completely and I have tried every facial cleanser in existence. It ranks high on my list of favorites.
To read more about its ingredients and more reviews you can click below. Or, if you want to try it first, ask your LUSH employee for a sample like I did :)
