7 Shopping Sins I Have Commited

 Oops, I did it again!

I was just thinking of all the CRAZY things I have done for the love of fashion. These are sins FOR fashion! I call them shopping fouls. These are sins not against fashion (like acid-washed jeans)

Here's my list, lemme know if any of these sound familiar...

7. Followed someone around a store to see if they would put their item down.
6. Not buying that last item you liked, so waking up extra early to go to the store and buy it the next day.
5. Buying another cocktail dress that you don't need.
4. Buying a size that's too large or too small just because you love it.
3. Sneaking into Juniors (not dressing my "age", whatever that means)
2. Ordering shoes online (that hardly works out for me)

And now for my number one shopping grievance...
1. Buying something just because it was on sale!

Any of these sound familiar? What's your biggest shopping offense?

Turn up the B.A.S.E.

Did I just buy the right items?

My two best friends...Stacy London and Clinton Kelley, came out with this amazing system for shopping for clothes, shoes and anything fashion-related. It was featured on the last episode of What Not to Wear.
In case you missed it, here it is...

B is for body. Make sure that whatever I am trying on looks good on my body.
A is for age. Am I too old for this item or too young? (I wish).
S is for situation. That ballgown is amazing but am I going to ball soon? Maybe I should buy some jeans instead!
E is for expense. Will this item pay for itself in its "cost per use" value?

I am going to start to ask myself these questions when I shop.
Maybe I will buy less impulsive items (sorry ballgown)

Are there additional guidelines you follow when shopping?

Santa, I can explain...

Ever notice that when you go Christmas shopping for other people you end up spending a lot because you end up shopping for yourself too! I'd say I buy a lot more in November and December for that very reason! I am especially attracted to big, shiny things. Here are some items I bought while shopping for others. Santa, I've been very bad...

This is a Kathy Van Zeeland shopper in gunmetal. I have been wanting
a gray bag for a while and I liked the studs.

I thought this was a fun bracelet at Forever21. When I checked on the website I saw
that it comes with a couple of extra bangles. But this was the only one in the store
so I bought it for the price of a single bracelet.

This is a Guess blinged out heart pendant. Big statement necklace for nights out!

And when I come home, there's more shine with this Cynthia Rowley sequin pillow!
