Coney Island, Brooklyn, U.S.A.
Fun afternoon at Coney Island. I sent my sis this picture and she goes "Where did you get that dress?" lol Marshall's! Who wears a maxi dress to ride bumper cars...only me. Here is the original dress post.
I love bumper cars. I am the freakin' Mario Andrettti of bumper cars. After terrorizing a couple of ten year old boys, I bumped hubby also. The secret is domination is to hug the outside corners, then go in for the "bumps".
After all that "driving", we went to Footprints, a West Indian restaurant. I ordered the garlic shrimp, rice and peas, plantains and cabbage.

Tough Ruffles
Here's another TJMaxx purchase. This Express dress has a bodice that is fitted and a ruffle skirt. I paired it with my favorite Chinese Laundry heels to toughen things up a bit.

Beauty in Small Packages
These are just a couple of things I bought at TJMaxx. I should buy smaller products like these more often so I can actually finish them. Ever buy bigger bottles of stuff that you never end up finishing?
This is Curious by Britney Spears. I think this one came out a couple of years ago. I never tried it but I liked the bottle. It's actually pretty good.

Then I bought this Big Sexy Hair spray mousse. As my hair gets longer I start to blow dry it more often and my hair needs lift! I've heard so much about these Big Sexy Hair products that I thought I'd try a smaller size like this first.

RIP Amy Winehouse
Just yesterday I was asking my husband if he knew where my Amy Winehouse cd was.
She was a talented young woman. I enjoyed her music and it's very sad that she had to die at such a young age.

I Like Black Sneakers
I love unfussy footwear like Ms. Stewart's Keds. Although I love and own a few pairs of Keds, I found an alternative Mossimo pair for 9 dollars that I couldn't pass up! Available at Target stores.

Thinking Cool Thoughts
Me and my air conditioner!
My pearly necklace
Me and Claude Monet
How crazy is this heatwave? I had to run a few errands and finish up my mall survey so I wore some white denim shorts and a white top. No makeup since it will melt! My hair is getting long but I am letting it grow for now and I just spiked it.
I took some pictures inside with the air conditioning on. So cool. I am not even hungry lately and I had ice cream twice yesterday (that counts as food right?)
I wanted to show you my necklace. I love wearing white and this little necklace looks good with white outfits. I bought it at Forever 21. It was only $3.80 and it's so cute.
What do you like to wear when the weather is this hot?

I Heart Summer
Why is summer fashion so much fun? It has to be the bright colors! Here are some of the items from my "mall haul" remixed. I also added some layered heart necklaces from Forever 21.

Go to the Mall = Get Paid
Betsey Johnson cat eye sunglasses
Coach demi bag
Remember those mall surveys I told you about? Well, I have been called in for a lot of them recently. This week I am doing an orange juice taste test. Here are some of the items I have been able to purchase with money I have been earning at these surveys. Who knew my opinion mattered so much?

It's Summer and I'm Playing Favorites
A lot of beauty gurus do monthly favorite posts or videos, so I decided to post these summer favorites. These are things I am loving all summer long! Stuff for the mind, body and soul!
Did you know he took ballet? Also filled with funny stories and showed what a kind, gentle soul he was. Also, You're All That. I bought my mom a copy and we read it together. Fantastic book about God's design for our lives. It's also addresses leaving your past behind, getting on with life and overcoming roadblocks in life!
Inspiring Books
The Chris Farley Show. As he would have said, "That was so awesome!"Did you know he took ballet? Also filled with funny stories and showed what a kind, gentle soul he was. Also, You're All That. Slatin and Co. Mango Cilantro candle
I love the scent of this candle!
Smells like the yummiest fruit smoothie in the world. I would eat it, but I shouldn't eat candles.
Fake lashes
Any brand really. I am trying to perfect applying these, but I need more practice.
This summer I experienced LUSH. And now I am slightly hooked.
Kate Spade Hobo
A thrifted gem. I have been using it everyday since I bought it.
Kmart Jaclyn Smith Straw Hat
If you need an inexpensive summer hat that is still well made,
go to Kmart! They have the best hats for summer for around 10 dollars!

My New Lace Heels
Nine West is not a fancy brand, but I do love their shoes. The heels fit my feet perfectly for some reason. I love lace in all forms...handbags, dresses and accessories! Here are my new lace heels purchased at Marshall's (of course!)
Do you own any lace items?

Angels on Bare Skin
It's been a little over a month since my last LUSH review, so now I can tell you what I love and have repurchased. So far, loving the Sexy Peel Lemon Soap and Honey I Washed the Kids Soap and already repurchased. Not a fan of their best selling Karma soap, and also didn't like Porridge soap.
"We're still together, still going strong"
I have already raved about this product here. But yesterday I went over to my mom's house and gave my mom, sis and little niece "facials" using my sample! ( I told you it was a big sample!) The employees are so generous at the LUSH I visit. So even after all the times I've used this, I still have a lot left. My mom loved it and my niece was so cute letting me rub this on her face (she's only 7). I will buy the full size of this product if and when my sample ever runs out. The one tricky part about this product is creating the right consistency when you add the water. And then when I rub it on my face, I try to make sure no product falls off.
