Make Your Life Prime Time. It was published in 2009, but I always take a while to get hip to new books.
It's about Puerto Rican anchorwoman (some call her the Latina Katie Couric) Maria Celeste Arraras' life and it contains useful life lessons on how to let go of grudges and live life to the fullest! I can totally relate to her since I am also of Puerto Rican descent, I also majored in Journalism and she seems very outspoken, yet introspective like me! Besides that I think many women will love this book and relate to it.
I read books very quickly and usually finish in a couple of hours which is good and bad (since I try to extend the experience, but can't!) But my mom likes that because the sooner I finish, the sooner I pass the book along to her. Sometimes unwinding like this is just what us fashionistas need to re-energize (and come up with more cute outfit ideas of course).
The book, some strong coffee and this amazing vanilla soy candle from For Every Body makes for a relaxing night in. What are your weekend plans? And what's your latest good read?
