Burlington's Warm Hearts and Warm Coats Drive

With the next holiday being Thanksgiving, I am giving thanks for all of my blessings including a home, food  my health and knowing that I will have a warm coat to wear this winter. So many people go without these basics. I pray anything I do can help brighten at least one person's day. Sometimes I wish I could do more, but then I remember these words...

It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.
-Mother Teresa

I usually donate my clothes to the Salvation Army or Goodwill. But I make sure that I leave some coats aside for Burlington Coat Factory's Annual Warm Hearts and Warm Coats Drive to donate every year. If you don't have a coat, you could also donate to One Warm Coat on the Burlington site. I love this drive because it's so rewarding to know these coats go directly to people that need them. Along with the donation, you receive a 10 percent coupon for anything in the store. And they have great little Christmas gifts there I must say!

I found two cute things...

What are some of your favorite charities and organizations? Please share below:)

  2. Burlington coat factory is far from me....we don't have any in the city but there is one by my parent's and I should donate a coat there this year. I like pajama program, they provide brand new pj sets to kids who are displaced or having to stay in shelters. $10 buys a new set, and while I've never been in such a dire situation, I can only image begin 5 or 6 years old, and having to move from home to home. here is the site, I hope you check it out....http://www.pajamaprogram.org/
